Victorian Bur Walnut Writing Slope.
A superb example of a Domed top Victorian Burr Walnut Writing Slope dating back to c.1850. . A superb piece of walnut with a brass name plate to the top (perfect to make personal by adding an engraving), a brass key escutcheon with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
The box houses two sections for Ink well with one cut glass inkwell , nib slope, pen slope with compartment underneath and a green re leathered writing surface. There is a compartment to the back of the inside lid to store paperwork and another compartment underneath the writing surface.
The box measures 36 x 24 and stands 14cm high.
