Victorian Brassbound Rosewood Writing Slope.
A Glorious full brassbound rosewood wring slope dating back to c.1830, with brass bindings to the corners and a decorative top and key escutcheon with a working lock and tasselled key.
The box houses a red releatherd writing surface with space to the back of the inside lid for paper work, more space underneath with wonderful secret drawers which work by lifting the nib slope section up, a pen compartment with a section to the underneath for pens, two sections for inkwells with two original inkwells and a nib slope.
A superb piece of rosewood in wonderful condition.
The box measures 35 x 24 and stands 14.5 can high.
