Victorian Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy With Mother Of Pearl Inlay.
An exceptional example of Victorian Tortoiseshell Tea Caddy dating back to c.1840. The Tea Caddy is bow fronted with a pagoda shaped top, it has pewter borders with a stunning inlaid detailed floral pattern to the front and the top of the box. It sits on four ball feet. The box houses a bone slip to the inside with bone handles to the tortoiseshell lids. The back of the inside lid is it’s original red velvet interior.
A truly exquisite piece.
It measures 20 x 13 and stands 18cm high.
