William IV Rosewood Glove Box With Superb Stickware and Tunbridge Ware Inlay.
An outstanding example of a William IV glove box dating back to c.1830. The glove box is in rosewood with superb tunbridge ware inlaid borders and Tunbridge ware diamond shapes to the top of the box with a butterfly in stickware to the centre. The box has a mother of pearl key escutcheon with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
We have relined the interior with handcrafted marble paper.
the box measures 24 x 12 and stands 8 cm high.
