18th Century Kingwood Twin Tea Caddy With Inlay.
A Fine Example of a c.1770 kingwood twin Tea caddy with inlaid satinwood panels to the top front and sides. The front and top panels have wonderful hare wood inlaid flower arrangements one in a vase and one in a urn. The box is edged in fruitwood with satinwood borders, which sets of the kingwood nicely.
The box features a working lock and tasselled key with a mother of pearl key escutcheon. The inside of the box has a partially relined interior with two kingwood lids.
It measures 19 x 12 and stands 12 cm high.
