William IV Pewter Inlaid Rosewood Writing slope.
A beautiful William IV rosewood writing dating back to c.1830 with inlaid pewter borders and a mother of pearl top and key escutcheon. The box has brass carring handles to the sides and a working lock and tasselled key.
Open the box to reveal a releathered writing surface, two inkwell compartments, a pen slope and a nib slope with a
section underneath the writing surface and behind the inside lid to store paper.
The box measures 36 x 25 and stands 12 cm high
