Victorian Brassbound Burr Walnut Writing Slope.
A wonderfully sized brassbound walnut writing slope dating back to c.1870.The box features a fully working lock and tasselled key, a name plate to the top and a brass key escutcheon.
Open the box to reveal a green releathered writing surface an inkwell, pen slope and nib slope. The back of the inside lid comes down as added storage for paper. There are secret drawers to the underneath of the writing surface and more room for documents.
The box measures 35 x 23 and stands 16.5 cm high.
