Victorian Coromandel Lap Desk With Mother Of Pearl and Abalone Inlay.
A beautiful coromandel lap desk By “Lund of London” dating back to c.1850.
The lap desk has a brass inlaid border and a mother of pearl, abalone and brass inlaid design surrounding initials “EP” to the front of the box, the lock has the same inlay surrounding it.
Open the box to reveal a re-leathered writing surface, an inkwell three pen and nib compartments a pen slope and two small sections for two ink wells. Lift up the underneath to see a satinwood interior with three secret drawers.
The box measures 38 x 25.5 and stands 10.5 cm high.
