Unusual Georgian Harewood Box with Ebony, boxwood, Harewood and  Mahogany Inlay.
 An outstanding Georgian Harewood Box that would have started life as a decanter box.
The box has ebony and boxwood inlay on the top, with a green oval harewood inlay to the centre the front features the same green oval harewood shell inlay. The box is chequered strung and edged in mahogany all the way around the box.
The box dates back to c.1820 it features a working lock and tasselled key. It has  brass shaped carrying handles to the side.
The interior has been relined with handcrafted marble paper, the back of the inside lid has it’s original red velvet interior.
An unusual box in superb condition.
The box measures 27.5 by 19 and stands 21.5 cm high
