18th Century Italian Rosewood Casket With inlay.
An unusual Italian rosewood casket dating back to c.1780 with a pewter, Ivory, mother of pearl, brass and boxwood picture to the top of the box of a half naked lady surrounded by men and cherubs. It has inlaid pewter borders all around the box with iIvory inlaid figure heads.The box sits on four boxwood feet. Unfortunately the key doesn’t work the box.The box has it’s original red interior to the inside.
It measures 29 x 24 and stands 18 cm high.
