A wonderful Hexagonal Tea Caddy, c.1785. The Caddy is Ivory, edged and bound in Tortoiseshell and Silver. The Caddy has a silver handle to the top housed in a silver escutcheon and an escutcheon to the front and Silver hinge for the lid. Open the Caddy to reveal the original interior with the lead lined lid, the lid would sit have sat on the tea. The Caddy is in excellent condition as shown with a working lock and key. 4.25" wide x 2.75" Deep x 3.75” tall while closed.
