Regency c.1820 boxwood inlaid Mahogany box.
This unusual box has a painted crest to the top of a dragon and a shield ,the same dragon to the front of the box. The box is inlaid with Harewood tulipwood and boxwood that run in lines around the box. It’s sarcophagus in shape, with its original brass double headed eagle handles to the sides of the the box, it sits on four brass flowered feet and has its fully working lock and tasselled key. The box has been relined with hand crafted marble paper to the inside.
It measures 29 by25 and stands 24 cm high.
