Georgian Mahogany Twin Canister Tea caddy.
A Superb example of a Georgian Mahogany twin canister tea caddy dating back to c.1815. The tea caddy features a hare wood inlaid shell to the top of the lid, it is cross banded and angle cut in tulipwood, it sits on four wooden feet. The key doesn’t work the lock and is purely for decoration.
Open the box to reveal it’s original blue velvet interior to the back of the lid, two mahogany tea canisters and a cut glass mixing bowl to the centre in wonderful condition.
The box is a must for the avid tea caddy collector.
It measures 30 x 16 and stands 16 cm high.
