Victorian Brass bound Walnut Writing Slope.
The perfect example of a brassbound walnut writing writing slope dating back to c.1870. The slope has a working lock and key. It’s original leather writing surface to the inside. It has a mahogany lined inside, with a space for paper to the back of the lid and a section underneath the writing surface with two secret drawers.The box also features a nib slope, pen slope and a section underneath the pen slope.
A superb piece in wonderful condition.
The box measures 30 by 23.5 and stands 15cm high.
