Sheraton Twin Canister Tea Caddy. The Tea Caddy dates back to 1780, it is in Burr Elm and is edged in Burr Maple, with a beautiful ebony, boxwood herring bone inlay. Lovely condition with beautiful wood, however the front is bowed and so the lid closes but does not lock.
The Caddy is huge and would have been a caddy for a very important house. Open the box to reveal Satinwood to the interior of the lid, with a Harewood and boxwood compass to the centre and oval mahogany inlays either side and beautiful Burr Maple and Satinwoods to the centre. It contains the original crystal liner nice condition with a tiny chip to the bottom. The Caddy is the biggest we have ever had and would be a beautiful show piece in any house.
The box measures: 39.5cm in width by 18.5cm in depth by 18cm in height.
