18th Century Tea Caddy refitted as a Perfume Box, c.1760

A beautiful 18th Century Tea Caddy, c.1760 that was then converted in c.1870 with a refitted interior to make it a Perfume/ Toiletry box. The box is made from wonderful Satinwood and Harewood with the original handle, front escutcheon and brass feet. It has Boxwood inlay with a Fruitwood edging. Open the box to reveal Perfume bottles with Silver Hallmarks and a plush blue velvet interior. (There is slight damage to the top of one bottle). The box is in good condition as shown with polished finish.
