This is a rosewood twin canister Tea Caddy with a crystal mixing bowl to the centre. The Caddy has the original ball and claw feet and double headed eagle handles; the inlay goes all around the box front back and sides and continues inside the box, the inlay is boxwood and Ebony with in a Grecian key style. The Caddy has a Sheffield plated handle to the top, it has its original key but doesn't seem to work the lock. The box has been signed within the tube of the mixing bowl see photographs this box was made by Thomas Skelton November 1815. It measures: 32cm by 15.5 and stands 17cm in height.
